Porto struggling

Porto have been on a poor run of form recently and that could continue when they host Roma in the first leg of their Europa League playoff tie.

The Portuguese side have only won one of their last eight games in all competitions, a 1-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv and their recent downturn in form has dramatically reduced their domestic title chances.

They have picked up back-to-back draws against Rio Ave and Sporting but their opponents had been reduced to ten men in both games and Roma will present a real challenge.

Visitors fancied

A 1-0 defeat away to AZ is the Italian team’s only loss in their last six European ties, in which they have beaten Braga, Eintracht Frankfurt and Dynamio Kyiv.

The visitors have not been at their best domestically and were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Milan recently but that means their primary focus will be on Europa League success.

They are fancied to move one step closer to that goal by securing an away victory, take the stalemate out of the equation by siding with Roma in the draw no bet market.
